Please download the latest client version from www.teamspeak.com and make sure that you have your identity security set at 25. I will have a video up later to show you how to do this if you do not know how. Also if you do not like the current user flag icons, there is a download on Teamspeak 3 in the channel "Clean Icon Set". Follow the instructions in the channel. This is very important! | | | c-man™ Wednesday 03 March 2010 - 19:53:50 | | | NEW NETWORK CLIENT | | | When Copy Cat decided to create this free and open gaming community, he had limited choices on what Virtual Personal Network or VPN to use. At the time, Hamachi was the most common networking tool available. Although it was free and administrator rites keep the networks free of trouble makers, Hamachi was difficult to configure. Even when finally configured, Hamachi wouldn't work for everyone.
Because of recent Hamachi issues, Dazed and Confused has decided to make the move to a new VPN client. Our Hamachi servers will remain open for a while longer as deemed by Copy Cat. However, all new guests and members of Dazed and Confused will begin to used the new VPN client effective immediately. If you wish to join Dazed and Confused on our free VPN client, download the appropriate version of COMODO's EasyVPN
Easy VPN allows unlimited slots and with the exception of configuring your personal firewall to allow communications between clients, the install is straight forward. Once you have installed your version of COMODO's EasyVPN, log on to our Teamspeak and contact an administrator to get our network name and password. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause any of you , but it is being done this way for security purposes. | | | P0V3RTY Friday 19 February 2010 - 14:17:51 | | | LAST RESORT | | | ATTENTION : For those whom are participating in BETA testing for the SWAT3 Last Resort MOD, please be advised that version 6 has been released for testing. Contact an administrator to receive this latest installment of Last Resort. Version 5 is NOT compatible with this latest version. This means, if you haven't installed version 6 , you will not be able to join a Last Resort modified game.
There has been many fixes and additions to version 6.
See the Swat 3 section of this forum for more information. | | | P0V3RTY Saturday 13 February 2010 - 23:22:52 | | | TEAMSPEAK and Dazed and Confused | | | Ever since December 19th Dazed and Confused had been using Teamspeak 3 in order to take advantage of it's new upgraded sound and security features. Lately many issues are bringing concern to the administrators of Dazed and Confused. Although we like the increased security features that TS 3 provide, we aren't so pleased with the excessive lag and system crashes it has caused. Also , the TS3 server has also banned the TS Viewer on our website on many occasions. Cman has also brought to our attention that for reasons beyond his control, he is forced to restart the TS 3 server everyday due to issues with sound. ( Lag, No Sound, etc.)
It is our decision that we shall revert back to using TS 2 until Teamspeak releases a known stable full version of TS 3. Currently, they are releasing BETA versions which are being updated constantly.
The TS 2 server is now up and running. The IP address used for TS 3 is of course the same for TS 2. Too offset the reduced security features of TS 2 we have also decided to PASSWORD protect it. All Dazed and Confused members should see our COMMUNITY MEMBERS ONLY ANNOUNCEMENTS section for this information.
We regret any inconvenience that may have caused and thank you for your continued support as Dazed and Confused members. | | | P0V3RTY Sunday 24 January 2010 - 21:43:41 | | | Site Security | | | Due to an increase of a possible spam bot attacks to the Dazed and Confused website, the administrators have decided to add a "captcha " code for each login by all members and guests to the site. Upon recent investigation of an increase failed login attempts, we have concluded that our site has been under attack by either spam bots or undesirables.
Due this increased behavior, it was deemed necessary to add the additional security. We are sorry for this inconvenience, but we feel that it is needed to protect the site.

After much discussion, C-man and I had decided that our website was looking rather plain and somewhat boring. Wanting to spice things up a bit and after hours of browsing themes, both C-man and myself found a theme that met our requirements ( ie. functionality and pleasing to the eye). We hope you are pleased. Our administrators are continually looking to provide our members with improvements and enhancements to make there gaming experience a pleasant one.

If you are not active for three or more days you WILL be kicked from the server! NO EXCEPTIONS. We cannot have inactive members. Also all members MUST use Teamspeak! We use this for in-game communication. Typing in-game does NOT count. We have Teamspeak for a reason. ANYONE who wants to become a community member MUST register with Teamspeak! If you are not registered, you are not considered a community member. Please do not join our Hamachi networks and just take up space. If you do not plan on playing games with us, then do not join our network. The administrators reserve the right to kick you from the network without warning.
